The previously announced Oukitel WP55 Pro has now become available at regular retailers including Amazon UK, which is where the smartphone is being offered by a marketplace seller, but Amazon handles the shipping. The new 5G phone listed for £329, but a £50 voucher can be activated manually and takes that prices down to £279.
The WP55 Pro 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7025, which is paired with 16GB LPDDR5X RAM. The internal mass storage has a capacity of 512GB and can be expanded via microSD if users don’t need the second SIM slot. Moreover, the Oukitel smartphone sports a 6.58-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2408 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate.
Typical for rugged smartphones are pretty large dimensions, as the phone is noticeably thicker than a regular mobile device at 0.6 inches. That said, it also has a considerably larger battery with a capacity of 11,000mAh and charging speeds of up to 33 watts. In addition to the two regular cameras, the WP55 Pro has a night vision camera on the back, while the front camera has a resolution of 32 megapixels. It goes without saying that this smartphone is protected against water as well as physical damage from drops and other impacts. Lastly, Oukitel includes a fingerprint sensor as well as NFC for contactless payments.
