Lenovo's latest TWS earbuds, much like the JBL Live Beam 3 (from $145 on Amazon), feature a charging case with a touchscreen. However, Lenovo advertises far more touchscreen functions than JBL. The charging case can not only control playback and volume and answer incoming calls, but also set alarms, show the battery percentage, time and even play a loud sound on the earbuds to help locate them.
Lenovo also offers a selection of wallpapers to personalize the touchscreen's lock screen. The equalizer can also be activated directly via the charging case, as Lenovo provides presets for five different music genres. Alternatively, the corresponding smartphone app can be used to adjust all settings of these new headphones. The ThinkPlus LP70 Pro do not come with silicone ear tips or active noise cancellation, which means users won’t be isolated from ambient noise.
However, the LP70 Pro wireless earbuds support 360-degree spatial audio and offer a gaming mode with lower latency. Lenovo advertises a total battery life of 30 hours with the charging case, while the earbuds alone last four hours on a full charge. Furthermore, the new headphones support Bluetooth 5.4, but Lenovo has not specified with Bluetooth codecs are available. That said, they feature Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) to reduce distracting ambient noise during phone calls.
