The Realme GT series consists of performance-focused smartphones. The company launched the GT 7 Pro last year in November. It was among the first phones to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Now, a new leak has arrived, revealing details about the Realme GT 8 Pro.
The latest leak from Digital Chat Station suggests that the Realme GT 8 Pro will have several hardware upgrades compared to the GT 7 Pro. The main highlight of the phone will be the next-gen Snapdragon flagship processor, which is expected to be called the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. A recent leak suggested that the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 will deliver approximately a 26% improvement in the AnTuTu score compared to the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
Additionally, the GT 8 Pro may feature a 200MP periscope lens. For comparison, the GT 7 Pro featured a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary lens, a 50MP telephoto, and a 50MP ultrawide lens.
The GT 8 Pro is tipped to feature a flat display with a 2K resolution. Like the GT 7 Pro, we expect it to be an OLED panel. The next-gen phone may utilize an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. Additionally, it is said to have a metal frame.
Lastly, the leak suggests that the GT 8 Pro will have a large battery, which will not be less than 7,000mAh. The phone is also said to support 100W fast charging. For comparison, the GT 7 Pro has a 6,500mAh battery capacity.
For now, all this information is based on a leak and should be taken with a pinch of salt. Like the GT 7 Pro, we expect the GT 8 Pro to arrive in the last quarter of the year.
