In recent days, rumours and new information about unreleased OnePlus smartphones has centred on a OnePlus 12 (curr. $699.99 on Amazon) successor. However, the company is unlikely to announce the OnePlus 13 until late autumn at the earliest. In the meantime, it seems that OnePlus has set its sights on refreshing its Nord division after introducing the Nord CE 4 earlier this year.
Currently, all evidence points to OnePlus complementing the Nord CE 4 with a Lite model called simply the Nord CE 4 Lite. On the one hand, various leaks suggest that the device is nothing more than a rebadged Oppo K12x, which is available in China with a Snapdragon 695 chipset. With that being said, OnePlus is expected to take the opportunity to market the device as featuring a new chipset. Specifically, the Nord CE 4 Lite will launch with the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3, an overclocked form of the Snapdragon 695 5G.
On the other hand, Amazon has begun teasing the release of a new OnePlus device in India. As the image above shows, Amazon India will reveal 'your all-day entertainment companion' on June 18, although the likes of GSMArena expect sales to open on June 24. Unfortunately, while Amazon India has not revealed any specifics yet, the Nord CE 4 Lite is expected to arrive with a 50 MP dual camera set-up, a 5,500 mAh battery that supports 80 W wired charging and a 6.67-inch OLED display that not only outputs at 1080p but also at up to 120 Hz.
