Leaker Igor Bogdanov has provided a first look at the RS 4 Mini, which should eventually line up as a cheaper alternative to both the RS 4 and RS 4 Pro (curr. $869 on Amazon) that debuted less than a year ago. To recap, the first signs that DJI was developing a third model in its RS series emerged in September 2024.
An official release date for now, despite the RS 4 Mini having appeared on a regulatory database over four months ago. In the meantime, Bogdanov has now leaked four official photos of the camera gimbal and its launch accessories. Unfortunately, only two sides of the RS 4 Mini are visible, which somewhat limits what information we can glean.
It appears that the RS 4 Mini contains a joystick mode switch for gimbal or zoom controls based on the images below, just like its RS 4 peers. Bogdanov reports that DJI has created a special accessory for the camera gimbal too. While the leaker has not revealed what this is yet, he hints that the accessory masked by an emoji 'will change everything'. Presumably, he will share more information about said accessory in the coming days.
