Evan Blass has shared new details about what is expected to be the successor to last year's Razr 50 Ultra, sold as the Razr 2024 Plus (curr. $579.99 on Amazon) in North America. In keeping with prior leaks, the unreleased Razr shown below is the spitting image of its predecessor. There are a few visual cues to denote that it is the 2025 edition, though.
For example, Motorola has adopted a leather effect back panel this generation. If the Razr 40 is anything to go by, this will be synthetic leather rather than its animal-derived counterpart. Blass' leak also highlights a new colour option, which he implies is called 'Rio Red'. While this is the second colour option that has leaked so far, past Razr releases suggest that Motorola has more than two in the works.
Blass' leak is the first time that the Razr 60 Ultra can be seen from all angles, too. Although dimensions for the unreleased device remain unknown for now, it looks as thin, if not thinner, than its predecessor. For reference, the Razr 50 Ultra is 7.1 mm thick when opened but 15.3 mm in its closed state. Based on other recent leaks, this year's flagship Razr will arrive with the 8-core version of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. We would not take the date shown in these render images as a necessary indication of its release date at this stage, though.
