Various details about the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion have leaked in the last few weeks, including promotional images and launch pricing. Added to that, Flipkart appears to be teasing the same smartphone on a dedicated microsite. Now, leaker Abhishek Yadav has shared technical information about the Edge 60 Fusion and how it will differ from its predecessor (curr. $262 on Amazon).
According to Yadav, Motorola plans to swap the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 with the Dimensity 7400 from MediaTek that the company announced last month. Performance improvements are likely to be limited though, owing to the fact that both chipsets feature four ARM Cortex-A78 and four Cortex-A55 CPU cores. Likewise, this year's Edge Fusion model will return with a 6.7-inch AMOLED display that delivers a 120 Hz refresh rate.
Unfortunately, it appears that little has changed when it comes to camera hardware, save for a new 2 MP auxiliary lens. Still, a 5,500 mAh battery and IP69 certification represent upgrades over the Edge 50 Fusion. The Edge 60 Fusion is expected to launch in India on April 9 before reaching Europe for approximately €350 (~$379) with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Based on prior leaks, Motorola will offer the Edge 60 Fusion in blue, green and red finishes.
