Raspberry Pi has pioneered the 'PC in a keyboard' concept with the release of the Pi 400 and Pi 500 (curr. $159.99 on Amazon). While those pair rely on relatively weak chipsets, Chinese manufacturer ARFirst has taken a completely different approach with the Linglong Host.
For context, initial details emerged last summer when the device was still branded as being designed by Linglong. Since then, the ARFirst brand has been added, although its overall design and features remain unchanged.
For example, the Linglong Host continues to rely upon the AMD Ryzen 7 8840U APU and a 59.2 Wh battery. Also, ARFirst includes up to 2 TB of storage and 32 GB of RAM with USB Type-A and USB Type-C ports.
The Linglong Host currently starts at CNY 3,899 (~$537) with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage on Xiaomi Youpin. Alternatively, the device can be picked up for CNY 4,899 (~$675) with 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. Unfortunately, there is still no word yet on global availability.
