Gigabyte has revealed two new QD-OLED gaming monitors ahead of CES 2025: the Aorus FO27Q5P and the MO27U2. While both displays are designed for gaming, their specs make them suitable for different users.
Gigabyte suggests that the Aorus FO27Q5P is tailored to professional esports players or those who play FPS games. The monitor has a 26.5-inch QD-OLED panel with a 500Hz refresh rate; this is thought to be the same 1440p resolution panel used in the Samsung Odyssey G60SF. The Aorus monitor is also equipped with DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20 technology for up to 80 Gbps bandwidth. The company hopes that this display will gain the recently announced ClearMR 21000 certification. The first monitor to become ClearMR 21000 certified was the LG 27GX790A (curr. $906.49 at Amazon). The FO27Q5P is also expected to be VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified.
Meanwhile, the Gigabyte MO27U2 is designed for hybrid gamers who also want to work on creative projects or stream content. So far, we know that this display offers a 4K (3840 x 2160 px) resolution with 166 PPI pixel density. On top of this, it is said to have delta E≤2 color accuracy and is also Pantone Validated.
Other features included with both the FO27Q5P and the MO27U2 are AI-based OLED Care technology to prevent burn-in and Tactical Switch 2.0 allowing you to quickly toggle between resolutions and screen ratios. It is unclear when the Gigabyte AORUS FO27Q5P and Gigabyte MO27U2 monitors will launch and at what price.
