Garmin has released firmware version 7.10 for the Lily 2 series smartwatches. This stable release arrives around three months after its predecessor, version 6.11. The last update enhanced the Connected GPS feature, amongst other improvements.
Firmware version 7.10 brings support for Body Battery TrueUp, a new tool which makes the Body Battery metric more accurate for users with multiple devices. This is achieved by syncing the relevant data, like HRV, sleep quality, and activity, across all wearables. Body Battery TrueUp has also recently been pushed to other models, including the Fenix 8, Venu 3 and vivoactive 5.
Garmin also says that it has enhanced the respiration algorithm and heart rate detection. However, users have yet to report on whether this is a notable improvement. On top of this, the Sensor Hub software has been updated to version 33.13. Unfortunately, the company does not explain how users may benefit from this upgrade.
Garmin has confirmed that firmware version 7.10 is now available for all users of the Lily 2 smartwatch (curr. $199.99 at Amazon) and can be downloaded through Garmin Express or Garmin Connect Mobile.
